Dr. Doug Stringer is founder and president of Somebody Cares America-International, an international movement that has received recognition nationally and globally. His years of ministry have taken him to numerous communities and nations; from urban to foreign missions; from garbage dumps to the palaces and halls of government leaders.  As an Asian-American, Doug is considered a bridge-builder of reconciliation among various ethnic and religious groups. From preachers to politicians, he is recognized as an ambassador. Doug is a sought-after international conference and crusade speaker.

While Daniel and Kathy were in Bryan, Texas, God led them to start doing street ministry. An individual who came to help them, said they needed to meet another man who was doing similar work in Houston. His name was Doug Stringer. Daniel and Doug met and the bond was made to do ministry together. When the Bernard's came to Florida to start Somebody Cares, Doug asked them to be the first chapter of Somebody Cares International.

Doug is actively involved in disaster relief efforts throughout the world. He travels extensively to bring HOPE to those in need. Our partnership and friendship has continued throughout the years, through disaster relief efforts, conferences, and other outreaches. Motivated by the love of God to serve communities without discrimination, Somebody Cares America/International (SCA/I) mobilizes churches and volunteers for compassion initiatives, prayer and disaster response; as well as develops godly leadership to influence culture through unity with a purpose!
