Husband and wife are wheelchair bound and have 4 door ways; bathrooms and bedroom, that are almost too narrow to roll their chairs through. The lower 3 feet of the door jam/frame needs to be removed/widened in order to give them extra space in order to roll through. The work is the chisel the 1/4-1/2 inch door frame border at the door jam to the floor which is about 3 feet. Then sand and paint white the door border which will give them slightly more clearance for their wheelchairs. It will take 2-3 people 3-4 hours to complete.

The ramp is not in good condition and there are nails protruding which brings a safety concern. Homeowner will be satisfied if the yard work is done.

There are pallets, cinder blocks, and other debris in the yard that need to be cleared to the side of the road. A team of 4-6 taking 3 hours will be a HUGE blessing by cleaning up this yard!

There are several repairs needed at this home but in a volunteer scope of practice there are two items that can be done. 1. Sink needs replacing. Homeowner has the sink and fixtures but needs someone to install. Evaluator noted the drain lines might need to be replaced and not sure if they are included in the sink fixtures but says a DIY homeowner would be able to install the sink. 2. There are two small blinds that the homeowner has been taping together. The exact measurements of blinds need to be measured to know the length needed to install. 3. (Optional and possibly out of scope) A built in fridge is leaking and a new one is needed. Homeowner states he might be able to buy a new one but needs someone to install.
