Mr. Hill (Veteran), was living in a shelter for 2 years after the hurricanes destroyed his home. He has had a new home built and new furnishings but his place in a bad place. There are items in the house he needs someone to help him assemble the parts, organize, and there are construction debris items left my the contractor that need to be thrown away. He wants to do it himself but because he is disabled, he is not able to stay on his feet for long periods of time. Yard - mow, weed eat & trim - needs to be done sooner rather than later - 3 volunteers/1 hour Inside - remove construction leftovers (contractor did not finish the job), shelves need to go up, items put on shelves (ladies), bedframe assembled, and other new items assembled. He needs to be talked into letting someone pick up the scrap and dispose of it. He thinks he can get to it, but not physically able. Note that, removing construction mess from inside the house will only add to the mess outside. It would be best if there was a trash bin or a trailer to dispose of the construction debris. 3 volunteers/3 hours + ladies to organize kitchen, living room, & bed room 4 volunteers/2 hours A group of 8-12 volunteers could help this veteran out in 3-5 hours.
Mower, yard bags, edger, tool kit, gloves, shears, weed eater, tool kit for assembly of items in the living room, bed room, and kitchen.
